National Safety Stand-Down – May 6-10, 2024
Posted on:
We know how important your team’s safety is to you and your business. This week, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is recognizing National Safety Stand-Down, a time where employers are encouraged to talk directly to employees about safety.
This week, set aside some time with your team to discuss:
- Job hazards they might face
- Protective methods
- Your company’s safety policies and goals
OSHA has resources available to help you conduct your own Safety Stand-Down, as well as, planned OSHA events throughout the week in a city near you. Visit their website at osha.gov/stop-falls-stand-down for more information.
ACCA also has tons of safety resources available to members on our website including site safety, tips to avoid distracted driving, staying safe in extreme hot and cold temperatures, and more!
Are you planning to host your own Safety Stand-Down? Make sure you download OSHA’s Certificate of Participation and display it at your office! Also, be sure to share on your social pages using the hashtag #StandDown4Safety.
