HVACR Workforce Center 

As an owner or service manager, your role requires that you wear many hats, all focused on your company’s most important asset: your people. When it comes to talent and recruitment, you need the confidence that your choices are best for the business. ACCA provides purposeful, easy-to-use tools and solutions in our HVACR Workforce Center. This section of our website features ACCA’s Workforce Initiative, CareerPlug, and other general workforce resources created by ACCA for you!  

ACCA’s Workforce Initiative began in 2019 when ACCA took the Pledge to America’s Workers with former President Trump, former Vice President Pence, and Ivanka Trump. The pledge was made on behalf of ACCA members, promising to train 75,000 HVACR professionals. We’ve continued to keep our pledge by focusing on workforce resources. With the HVACR industry in need of skilled workers, this initiative specifically focuses on how HVACR businesses can get engaged with local technical schools to draw in new talent and fill empty positions.  

CareerPlug offers ACCA members access to a branded career page where job listings can be posted and promoted on multiple job sites at a discounted rate. CareerPlug provides an easy-to-use system that automates many of the tedious, manual steps of the hiring process. The built-in evaluation tools help you confidently identify, evaluate, and hire the right person. ACCA members receive a free basic CareerPlug account with a branded career page, pre-built job templates, and a configured hiring process.  

Finally, ACCA’s Workforce Development Resource Library offers job posting materials, a Diversity and Inclusion Guide for Business Owners, workforce-related webinars, HVACR career path information, and so much more! ACCA created these resources to address concerns we’ve heard from members and to help guide you down a path of success when hiring new individuals to their companies. Microlearning Series 

Are you ready to increase revenue, reduce callbacks, lower company liability, and protect your brand within your community? ACCA’s Microlearning Series addresses all of these issues in short, focused videos that aim to teach a single HVAC concept or skill. We designed our Microlearning video series to be easily digestible and understandable for HVAC staff. Some of our recent microlearning videos include Wiring a Four Wire Rescue Condenser Fan Motor, Calculating Target Superheat, Reversing Valve Touch Test, and Testing a Capacitor Under Load. Inflation Reduction Act Resources 

One of ACCA’s top priorities is to ensure your business is prepared to implement and use the new tax incentives and rebates available with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). ACCA’s IRA resources are free for ACCA members, providing direction through a variety of online information to help business owners participate in growing their business by attracting customers looking to take advantage of these incentives. 

We want to highlight a couple of resources from this library: the Prevailing Wage Requirements FAQ Sheet, the Inflation Reduction Act Residential Contractor Fact Sheet, and the ComforTool – 25C Tax Credit. Each of these resources will aid contractors in understanding the tax credits and rebates available while also providing the tools to educate customers.
