Resource Round-up: The Not-So-Secret ACCA Member Benefits

Have you ever been seeking an ACCA member benefits resource but can’t seem to find what you’re looking for? Are you a new member looking for the bountiful resources available to you? Resource Round-up is here to help. While we will only hit on three of ACCA’s member resources today, know that there are hundreds available to you on our website. At ACCA, we know how crucial it is to solve the workforce epidemic plaguing our industry. While we can’t always hand you applicants, we can at least provide you with the tools you need to bring in the right talent. That is why we created the “Create Job Postings that are sensitive to Diversity and Inclusion” handout. This was created to help hiring professionals enhance their job postings to make them more inviting to people of diverse backgrounds and cultures by experimenting with language. Sometimes only a minor change to a job posting will bring in a completely different set of skills, and ACCA wants to help you find them! Visit our “Workforce Development Resources” Library under the “Grow” section of your Member Benefits Portal to find this resource.  

Did you know that ACCA provides its members with a number of free training “tips and tricks” so to speak? One of these great resources is ACCA’s Predictable Comfort which gives you the insight you need to go the distance on your designs in 10 minutes or less! Ed Janowiak, ACCA manager of HVACR design education, breaks topics down into bite-sized pieces to help ease into complex topics. Some of the topics include “How to Perform and Utilize Static Pressure Measurements Measuring SP and ESP”, “Manual J Shading…From Trees”, “Duct Sizing Principles: Explaining Friction Rate”, and “How to Pick a Fan.”

As an ACCA member, you also receive discounts and savings from our partners and associate members in a wide range of industries. These savings don’t only cover hotel discounts, concert and event tickets, and theme park passes, but they also provide members discounts on things they use every day, like utility safety work boots, fuel, advertising services, financing, and more! In 2021 alone, ACCA members saved over $307,000 using these member benefits.
