CEO’s Column: Stay Ahead of the Competition with Training

Summer is here, and I recently got a taste of what it is like not to have air conditioning when the mercury rises. My home was without air conditioning for over a month. And while I’m thankful it wasn’t during the hottest time of the year, I am even more grateful that I have cool air blowing through my home again!  

I am proud to be the president and CEO of an organization that helps people live and work comfortably. But I’m even more proud that the companies that ACCA represents keeping our entire country safe, healthy, fed, and in business and comfortable. ACCA members are not a commodity, they ARE ESSENTIAL! 

Being essential requires hard work and staying up to date with the latest information and training. That training touches every part of your business, from the newest team members to the owner. It is important that everyone in your business keeps on learning and getting better.

One of the best ways to keep learning is to turn to ACCA. We provide some of the best training out there – below are a couple of new training events and resources I want to make sure you know about. 

ACCA’s Safety Series 

ACCA’s Safety Series provides members with the opportunity to train their team on important safety procedures to keep them safe in the field. These videos, combined with daily practice and procedures, will provide contractors and technicians the skills needed to stay safe every day in their line of work. Covering topics such as ladder safety, heat safety, fire extinguishers, and more, this series covers it all. This series not only helps keep your team safe but will also help keep your productivity up by not having as many accidents, which will also help with insurance costs. ACCA’s Next Level – October 16 & 17 in Indianapolis, IN 

Many ACCA members are probably familiar with our Fall Meetings and Service Managers Forum. This year, ACCA reimagined these events and is proud to announce Next Level. This event is for leaders in contracting businesses from every area of the business. It doesn’t matter if you have been a leader for 20 years or are an emerging leader, this event has training to benefit you.
