Work and Play at ACCA 2022

Posted on:

ACCA’s 2022 Annual Conference is an opportunity for the HVACR industry to network, learn, and grow together for the first time in almost three years. ACCA 2022 isn’t all business, though. Traveling to St. Louis will also be your chance to try new food, see new sights, and tour landmarks with ACCA!

ACCA 2022 has four excursions planned for the afternoon of Monday, March 28, 2022. Those interested will be able to explore the fascinating history, culture, and architectural legacy of St. Louis. Continue reading to gain valuable information on each tour.

Budweiser Tour

You can’t visit St. Louis and not stop by Budweiser for a brewery tour! As you walk through the halls of the historic St. Louis brewery, you are transported back in time. This special tour highlights the journey of beer from seed to sip. We will start the tour with a visit to the Budweiser Clydesdale Paddock and Stables, then go to the Beechwood Aging Cellar, the historic Brewhouse, and the BEVO Packaging Facility. All guests will get multiple samples on tour and will take home a fresh bottle of beer!

Grant’s Farm Tour

Here’s your chance to get up-close and personal with the famed Budweiser Clydesdales at Grant’s Farm. Join us for the Clydesdale VIP Experience: a walking, wheelchair-accessible tour that allows you to meet these gentle giants. Explore the Clydesdale Patio and Stables area, where you’ll meet your tour guide and get an introduction to the farm. From there, you’ll journey out into their pastures and view Clydesdales roaming left and right. If one is close enough to the fence, you may even be able to interact with them! Finally, you’ll end your experience by meeting a Clydesdale horse. Get the opportunity to brush and pet them, all while asking one of the farm’s handlers any questions you may have. And of course, there is always more. Remember to bring your camera, as photos are welcomed throughout the tour!

Historic Union Station Tour

St. Louis Union Station — A national historic landmark with memories as a major rail hub. Today, Union Station is a balance of nostalgia and modern renovation. After an extensive $150 million restoration, this brand-new facility is filled with a number of unique marketplace shops, an assortment of fine restaurants, and even a breathtaking fire and light show, featuring a 100-foot-tall waterfall, complete with dazzling lights and flames shooting into the air! The St. Louis Union Station hotel is a wonder of history and imagination. Learn the history behind room names, what the fleur-de-lis motif means, and how the hotel system operates. Join us for this tour to geek out on history, trains, architecture, and more.

Hit the Hill Tour

This is a walking tour of St. Louis’ historic Hill neighborhood, an Italian American paradise. Enjoy the colorful displays, authentic Italian bakeries, restaurants, coffee houses, and retail spaces that give this neighborhood its vibrant energy. The Hill, which gave us Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola, is famous for its Italian markets, restaurants, and more. We encourage you to taste a little bit of Italy and enjoy the Italian flair. In addition to tantalizing restaurants, The Hill boasts one of the best places to watch or play Bocce Ball  Milo’s, a beloved joint where everybody knows everybody. If you want to experience a real St. Louis pastime, this is the excursion for you.
