Just recently, a federal judge in the Dallas area permanently enjoined the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) effort to enact a rule which would have prohibited non-competition agreements across the United States. Using its rule-making authority, the FTC had attempted a nation-wide ban on non-compete agreements between employers and employees as anti-competitive. 

With workforce issues continuing to burden contracting businesses, ACCA works hard to promote legislation that encourages more students to consider careers in the trades. 

In 2023, ACCA staff and leaders came together to develop the association’s latest 3-year strategic plan. Our staff and leaders emerged with an energized purpose, mission, and vision. We’ve been working hard during the first half of 2024 to start down the path toward these goals.
