Is There a Time Limit for Wrongful Termination Claims?
Posted on:
Question: What is the time limit on a wrongful termination claim?
Answer: In most states, unless an employee is subject to an employment contract, there can be no claim for wrongful termination. This is what is meant by “at will” employment. As for claims under various statutes such as those dealing with employment discrimination, the answer varies depending on the statute (and remember, there are both state and federal discrimination statutes).
