QA Participants Visited to Ensure Program Compliance
Posted on:

The Quality Assured Program recognizes contractors in support of the ENERGY STAR for Qualified New Homes. To ensure program requirements are being observed, ACCA is making site visits to contractor’s offices. Notable points about these on-site visits:
- QA Participants recognized that they must comply with specified QA Contractor Elements that were developed by ACCA members and industry stakeholders. · Free resources are available to support successful compliance with the program requirements. You can find them at http://ie3go.ws/qaresources.
- Specific aspects to be evaluated are identified, and contractors are notified weeks in advance of the actual visit.
- We know that contractor time is valuable, the on-site visit lasts about an hour.
- To date, nearly all the contractors visited indicated that they appreciated that the program has valid enforcement and welcomed the objective feedback.
