In This Edition of “Hey Ed,” Ed Discusses the Most Appropriate Velocity Moving Across a Filter Grill
Hey Ed, what is the most appropriate velocity moving across a filter grill? For a filter grill, 300 feet per minute is the specific number that you'll find in Manual D®. I think that is a very reasonable target to start off with. In fact, it's the only reference to velocity that I found in Manual D® and this is going to be one of those instances where I'm going to ask everybody. Do you have a different number from a reliable source? ‘Cause if you do, I'd love to hear from you, and that's the way I see it.
