Hey Ed, what is a refrigerant glide? Refrigerant glide refers to the difference in the boiling and condensing points or temperatures when we have a refrigerant that is a blend. If I go back in time, 407C was a refrigerant that I used that had glide, so I would use the appropriate metric of bubble point or dew point to set my superheat or subcoiling. As we move forward into the A2Ls, we’re going to find that 454B also has glide. It’s nothing to be concerned with. It’s something that we have to simply follow the manufacturer’s guidance when it comes to setting our superheat or subcoiling. And that’s the way I see it.
