Hey Ed, What Is OEM Performance Data?
In this edition of "Hey Ed," Ed discusses what is OEM performance data in Manual S®.
Hey Ed, what is OEM performance data? OEM performance data is information that we have access to, that will allow us to know the capacity of the equipment that we installed be it a furnace, air conditioner, a heat pump and it doesn’t matter if we’re looking at it in the cooling mode or the heating mode we can look up the specific amount of heat that it produces based off of outdoor conditions as well as indoor conditions. One of the things that we want to avoid, is determining the capacity of a piece of equipment by a model number. This is why the expander performance data is so important, and that’s the way I see it!
