Hey Ed, does beer can cold really work?
In this edition of “Hey Ed,” Ed discusses if beer can cold really works.
Hey Ed, does beer can cold really work? - Beer can cold is a real thing. That’s true. If we ran every air conditioning system at a 40 degree saturation temperature, or what is commonly referred to as a 40 degree coil, we have spoken about, well, an air conditioning system function properly if we run it at 400 CFM per ton. It’ll work. If we grab that suction line with our hand and say, yep, it’s beer can cold and sweating, it’s gonna work. But does that mean it’s charged properly? Maybe, but probably not. So as much fun as it is to talk about beer can cold and sweating, don’t use that as a metric to determine if the system is charged properly or not. And that’s the way I see it.
