Hosted by Jeff Kukert, Senior Technical Trainer, Copeland, this 60-minute webinar will share current refrigerant regulations globally and in the United States. What are the key considerations when retrofitting a system to accommodate natural refrigerants? What is the importance of the “3 Rs” (recover, recycle, reclaim)? We’ll cover these topics, including essential elements of low-gwp refrigerants, such as safety considerations and servicing best practices. Armed with the correct information, the shift away from traditional refrigerants is simplified. We’ll close the webinar with a brief discussion on the transition from Emerson to Copeland and answer any questions.

Jeff Kukert joined Copeland in October 2022. Jeff has over 30 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry. He has worked as a service technician on things from residential to commercial HVAC and Refrigeration; he has worked in the HVAC/R wholesale business and, before joining Copeland, was an Associate Professor and department head at a Technical College teaching HVACR for over 13 years. Jeff is a Certificate Member Specialist (CMS) with RSES and has been a member since 1997. He has also worked with the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) since 2017 as a master instructor, developing curriculum and training instructors nationwide. Jeff loves learning and has a passion for the HVACR industry. He also loves teaching and sharing information about the HVAC/R industry.
