New Online Video Educates Building Owners And Facility Operators On The Importance Of Choosing A Professional Contractor

ACCA, the nation’s largest association of indoor environmental systems professionals, has produced a new online video to help educate building owners and facility operators about how to choose a professional HVAC contractor to meet their buildings’ heating and cooling needs. The 10 minute video is available at www.acca.org/consumer.
“ACCA developed this video for our commercial members, so they would have a resource, from a third party, to help explain to their customers that working with a contractor is more than just repairs and filter changes,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, president and CEO of ACCA. “This video helps explain that having a relationship with a contractor can not only create a more comfortable work environment for building occupants, but also helps building owners save money and plan for future needs.”
The new video features long-time ACCA member Steve Schmidt of Frederick Air in Frederick, MD, and is broken into six segments:
- Introduction
- Planned Maintenance
- Capital Planning & Incentives
- Choosing The Right Contractor
- Equipment Selection
- How To Locate Professional Contractors
“Steve’s experience as a contractor that works in both the commercial and residential markets made him an excellent choice for this video,” added Stalknecht. “We took his working knowledge and experiences, along with feedback from our industry partners at HARDI and AHRI, and created a video we feel will be a valuable asset for contractors to use as they educate their commercial clients to the value they offer through a partnership.”
ACCA encourages contractors to share this video, and all of its consumer resources, with their potential, new, and existing customers. These resources can be found at www.acca.org/consumer.
