HVACR Contractors Get One of Their Own In the U.S. Senate Out of The Midterms

Posted on:

There are still a lot of unknowns about the impact of the midterm elections and the flip in control of the House but one thing we do know is we have an ACCA member and former HVACR contractor in the U.S. Senate. Senator-elect Markwayne Mullin, who is currently serving his fifth term in the House of Representatives, won the special Oklahoma Senate election to replace retiring Senator Jim Inhofe. ACCA has supported Mullin since he first ran for Congress and was elected in 2012. As a former business owner of Mullin Plumbing, Mullin Services, and Mullin Environmental, Mullin has brought to Congress a valuable HVACR business owner’s perspective and championed many of ACCA’s priorities.

ACCA is very excited that Mullin will now have the opportunity to be a voice for the HVACR industry in the U.S. Senate. Mullin and his team have been invaluable partners to ACCA by helping to advance our policy agenda and is always willing to spend time talking directly with ACCA members about legislation and regulations that would affect the way they do business. ACCA was excited to honor Mullin with ACCA’s Coolest in Congress Award in 2022 and can’t wait to continue our work with him and his team in the Senate.
