Posted on:

Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division, a top selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, celebrated the grand opening of its Southwest Business Unit (BU) in Houston with a gala event and ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 14. Headliners for the celebration included the Houston Texans Cheerleaders, State Rep. Dwayne Bohac, Houston City Council Member Helena Brown, and LPGA golfers Stacey Bieber and Christina LeCuyer.

Nationally, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division has experienced double-digit growth every year since 2007. The Southwest BU facility will be a central hub for sales and training of contractors, engineers, and distributors in the Southwest region and is expected to draw more than 3,000 professional visitors in 2013.

The Southwest BU consists of territories formerly included in the Central and Western sales zones and includes the states of Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Bob  Farmer, a 10-year Mitsubishi Electric veteran, is business unit manager for the new Southwest BU. Farmer has nearly 25 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
