Matt, What Are the ABCs of Air Conditioning?

In this edition of "HVAC Skill Builder," Matt discusses the ABCs of Air Conditioning.

Q: What Are the Abcs of Air Conditioning? A: Well, the ABCs of air conditioning is air before charge ABC and the reason we bring this up is because there's a lot of people out there that are either doing maintenance or doing installation and they're trying to adjust or check the charge and it's not coming out correctly and that's because they're not even looking at the airflow if the airflow is not correct when adjusting the charge or trying to check the charge, you're never going to get that balanced out correctly and if you don't get it balanced out correctly, it can lead to some other issues and performance issues so before you do anything with the charge, whether you're taking some out, putting some back in, or getting a system installed, always check before making those adjustments, the airflow across the system before adjusting the charge.
