Matt, How Many Recommendations Do You Include on Your Service or Maintenance Calls?

In this edition of "HVAC Skill Builder," Matt discusses how many recommendations you should include on your service and maintenance calls.

Q: How Many Recommendations Do You Include on Your Service or Maintenance Calls? A: I recommend, if possible, to try to give your customers at least three recommendations. Now, I also recommend that you do not recommend to customers stuff they don't need so if you go out there and identify three issues that they definitely can use, please write them down but again, do not go out there and just give recommendations for the reason of giving recommendations. They need to be useful and meaningful recommendations that's going to help the customer better the system and have cleaner, fresher, healthier air and also prevent breakdowns with their equipment.
