Matt, How Long Should a One-System Maintenance Tune-up Take To Complete?

In this edition of "HVAC Skill Builder," Matt discusses how long a one-system maintenance tune-up takes to complete.

Q: How Long Should a One-System Maintenance Tune-up Take To Complete A: That's a very good question. It really will depend on the speed of the technician, how they're going to go out there, what is included in their maintenance process. But however, from personal experience, I spent at least 1 hour per system to make sure that I went through everything, did my proper testing procedures, checked the airflow megaohm the compressor and stuff like that. But again, some of them can be a little more intricate, especially if you have to go do any type of repair work while you're out there but a general rule is approximately 1 hour per system, that way you can give the customer the services they paid for.
