Matt, Can You Explain the Form Method?

In this edition of "HVAC Skill Builder," Matt explains the Form Method.

Q: Can You Explain the Form Method? A: Yes, the form method is FORM, and the F is for family, O is for occupation, R is for recreational activities, and M is for material possessions. If you employ this method, it is an excellent way to start building rapport with customers when you're on site. For example, if you see a family picture in their home and they have kids, you can say, "Oh, that's a great picture; I have two kids myself." It's a great way to break the ice with customers and build that rapport so they trust you during that service call.
