In this edition of "Hey Ed", Ed discusses where a drip leg is meant to be installed.
Hey Ed, where is a drip leg meant to be installed? The drip legs are meant to be installed at a change in direction in the piping. The problem is, that is not always accessible to the installer. So, when it comes down to choices - omit it or put it in a placement that’s less than ideal. I’m always going to go for that less than ideal placement and that’s the way I see it!
