Hey Ed, what is a duct sketch?
In this edition of "Hey Ed," Ed discusses the uses of a duct sketch.
Hey Ed, what is a duct sketch? A duct sketch is a drawing of a duct system. Well, why would I talk about that? The Air Conditioning Contractors of America has a document called the plan review form. And it’s something that can be used by a contractor. It could be used by a code official. It could be used by anybody who is reviewing a system design. And in it, one of the requirements shows that the person doing the design is required to do a duct sketch. And it’s really nothing more than a drawing of the duct system. It can be used to demonstrate to anybody in the food chain what that duct system should look like. It can be hand-drawn or it can be computer generated. And that’s the way I see it.
