Hey Ed, What Happens When We Have Reduced Volumes for Branch Run and Go through a Supply Outlet Covering?
In this edition of "Hey Ed," Ed talks about reducing volumes for branch run when going through a supply outlet covering.
Hey Ed, what happens when we have reduced volumes for branch run and go through a supply outlet covering? When we have a predictable amount of volume coming out of a supply outlet, when the air travels through that register, we get a predictable amount of throw and spread that comes out. When that volume is reduced, the throw and spread is not the original. And I’m not going to get into the conservation of energy formulas right now, but what we’ll see is not a proportional drop in the throw and spread. And if you get into the math, I believe it’s a factor of four that that throw and spread is reduced when we see that reduction in volume. And that’s the way I see it.
