Hey Ed, is all air standard?
In this edition of "Hey Ed," Ed discusses the weight of a cubic foot of standard air.
Hey Ed, is all air standard? This is a fun topic because the definition of standard air has been vocalized by people and they are steadfast with one specific set of conditions and my research into it shows that there is one that would be a cubic foot of standard air weighs 0.075 pounds. The actual humidity and the temperature of the air is irrelevant because standard air is always going to come back to a density of 0.075 and that’s the way I see it.
