Hey Ed, do we ever try to get our systems to meet AHRI SEER2 operating efficiency?
In this edition of "Hey Ed," Ed discusses AHRI SEER 2 operating efficiency in system design.
Hey, Ed, do we ever try to get our systems to meet AHRI SEER 2 operating efficiency? This is something that I’ve heard more than I was expecting to over the last 12 months or 18 months. I am not aware of any time that I am going to design a system and try and get it to operate at those SEER 2 conditions. One of the first things that I do in a system design is ensure that it does meet the SEER 2 requirements, but then I am going to manipulate the performance of that system to meet the sensible gain, the latent gain, without exceeding the total gain that is specified in manual S. And that’s the way I see it.
