Hey Congress … Give Us A Break!

Throughout 2011 small businesses were pushing Congress to do the right thing by repealing onerous tax and filing requirements that created unnecessary burdens on them.
Twice in 2011 ACCA contractors and other small business owners made their voices heard on these laws. First they succeeded in April of 2011, when Congress repealed the 1099 filing mandate that threatened to create a paperwork overload for small business. Then they succeed this past November, when Congress repealed the 3% withholding tax. Both of these victories show how small businesses can have a say in what Congress does.
