Matt, How Can Creating and Presenting Customized HVAC Solutions, Based on a Thorough Understanding of the Customer’s Home and Lifestyle, Increase Service Ticket Revenue?

In this edition of "HVAC Skill Builder," Matt discusses increasing service ticket revenue.

How can creating and presenting customized HVAC solutions based on a thorough understanding of the customer’s home and lifestyle increase service ticket revenue? One thing that comes to my mind is going to be indoor air quality. Virtually every house out there can use some type of indoor air quality and this is also very important speaking on the indoor air quality is that when you go into someone’s house and talk to them and have them answer your questions or you ask them questions is focusing on indoor air quality and the indoor air quality gets down to source control. So you may have a customer’s home that has really leaky ducks on there that’s contributing to a lot of dust or you may have a customer that has a lot of pets contributing to maybe the odor and stuff like that but the best thing to do is identify the need in that particular customer’s house and provide a customizable option. So for example some customers may do really well with an electronic air cleaner while other customers may do well with a HIPAA filter. So again take the time to thoroughly diagnose the system, look around the house, ask questions to your customers, put everything together then bring it back and give them that tailored repairs that’s based on their needs and the house characteristics.
