ACCA at AHR: Championing contractors, strengthening industry connections
Posted on:

In the HVACR industry, relationships are everything. Contractors, distributors, manufacturers, and service providers all share one thing in common: their success hinges on strong industry connections.
That’s why our ACCA team and contractor leaders hit the ground running at AHR Expo in Orlando this February. Our mission? Build stronger industry relationships and make sure the contractor voice is heard loud and clear.
Barton James (president and CEO, ACCA); Jason Urich (director of building services, Kelso Industries, ACCA Partners Committee, and contractor member); Mike Branson (president of air, Rheem); Kate Wessels (vice president of communications, marketing, and Partnerships, ACCA); Martin Hoover (owner, Empire Heating & Air Conditioning, ACCA Board Chair, and contractor member); Kenzi Vizzari (strategic partnerships manager, ACCA); Randy Roberts (vice president of residential AC, Rheem)
As the trusted voice for contractors in the HVACR world, we connected with manufacturers, distributors, and service providers to reinforce ACCA’s role as the crucial bridge between contractors and the broader industry.

Highlights
- Promoting the contractor voice: Our team made the rounds to visit with the expo’s 1,800 exhibitors, highlighting contractors’ critical role and sharing real-world perspectives on everything from regulatory challenges to workforce development.
- Strengthening existing industry partnerships: We sat down with partners including Copeland, Rheem/Ruud, Midea, Johnson Controls, Arkema, Chemours, and others to discuss better tools, technology, and training for contractors. We also reconnected with key media allies including ACHR News and Contracting Business.
- Welcoming and celebrating new partners: Our staff and leaders personally welcomed some of ACCA’s newest Strategic Partners—Payzer, Parts Town, and Tekmar—to the ACCA family of industry supporters.

Whether we’re at industry events, ACCA gatherings, or critical policy discussions, our focus remains rock-solid: advocating for policies, resources, and innovations that help contractors thrive.

Stay connected with ACCA as we build on these efforts throughout the year!
