Hey Ed, does the new Manual S® address sizing heat pumps for heating?

In this edition of “Hey Ed,” Ed discusses sizing heat pumps for heating using the updated Manual S®.

Hey Ed, does the new Manual S® address sizing heat pump for heating? The new Manual S® does address sizing heat pumps for heating and there is several paths to ensure that when we put in a large enough heat pump for heating that we don’t end up with an oversized air conditioner. This is a reoccurring theme when we talk about Manual S®. We have to ensure that we don’t have an air conditioner that is larger than necessary because we need to get rid of that latent load and that’s the way I see it.
