Hey Ed, what’s this thing I hear you say about turning the TV up when the system comes on?

In this edition of "Hey Ed," Ed discusses the importance of low-noise systems.

Hey Ed, what’s the thing I hear you say about turning the TV up when the system comes on? - Turning the TV up when the system comes on is an eddism that I’ve been using 20, 25 years now. And it’s simply a way to point out that there are far too many forced air systems out there that when they run, they make excessive noise. We’re not supposed to be able to detect the system running or if we can detect it, it should be very low. The simple idea that there are folks out there that need to turn the TV up because the system is so loud just points out there are situations where we install systems that I’m simply gonna call less than ideal. And that’s the way I see it.
