ACCA’s 2024 Annual Report: A year of growth, advocacy, and innovation

Posted on:

ACCA’s newly released 2024 Annual Report is a reflection on the milestones achieved throughout the year and a deeper look at the association’s ongoing commitment to the HVACR industry. The report highlights ACCA’s efforts to provide contractors with essential tools, support, and advocacy to navigate an evolving industry landscape.

A year of industry recognition and advocacy
ACCA’s 2024 Power of Associations Gold Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) was a standout moment this year. This prestigious award recognized ACCA’s proactive role in advocating for the R-410A refrigerant transition, one of the many areas where we continue to lead industry change.

ACCA’s advocacy didn’t stop there. We worked closely with Congressional allies to challenge several burdensome regulations, including a potential ban on non-condensing furnaces, the walkaround rule, and the overtime rule. These efforts underscore ACCA’s tireless advocacy on behalf of contractors who could face increased costs and operational difficulties without these efforts.

Training and education: Building a stronger workforce
ACCA made significant strides in training and education. This year, over 7,500 contractors participated in a variety of in-person training, webinars, virtual sessions, and on-demand courses. One key milestone was A2L refrigerant training, which reached more than 4,500 contractors, ensuring that HVACR professionals are equipped for future industry changes.

The Quality Assured (QA) Program also surpassed 1,000 accreditations, highlighting the growing commitment to quality and professional development within the industry.

Record attendance and stronger connections
ACCA’s Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, was a major success this year, drawing a record-breaking number of attendees. The event brought together contractors, manufacturers, and industry leaders to share insights, discuss challenges, and collaborate on solutions to industry issues.

Looking toward the future
Reflecting on the year, Barton James, ACCA president and CEO, shared, “As the voice of authority for contractors in the HVACR industry, we are proud to lead with purpose, innovation, and unwavering dedication to our members’ success. The 2024 Annual Report showcases the great strides we’ve made and the foundation we’re building for an even stronger future.”

As we look ahead, ACCA is more committed than ever to advancing the HVACR industry through education, advocacy, and support for contractors across the country.
