Hey Ed, Chris Asks Why Do We Stagger Ducts?
In this edition of "Hey Ed," Ed talks about staggering ducts.
Hey Ed, Chris asks, why do we stagger ducts? - That is another one of these questions that it’s almost like I wrote them and I know what I was gonna be asked because it’s something I wanna talk about. Staggering ducts, I often get the question about staggering them so that the airflow is even or proportional or something along those lines and that’s not the reason. If you look in manual D and in the manual, in the informative section, it talks about crosstalk. So if you have two rooms that are across from each other and the takeoffs off the trunk duck itself are across from each other, you might hear somebody snoring or you might hear a conversation that you’re not supposed to be privy to. That’s the reason we do it and that’s the way I see it.
