Hey Ed, what is your biggest concern about twinning furnaces? The biggest concern I've had with twinning furnaces is something that I learned a hard lesson on. I had a pair of furnaces that were twinned together in a church, and I had repeated failures from one of the fan motors, and, I'm not ashamed, but I have an inkling that I should have figured it out sooner. What was happening when one of the furnaces called by itself, it was causing the blower in the furnace that wasn't operating its blower to spin backwards, and this went on long enough that I replaced two fan motors on the second-stage furnace before I came to the conclusion that that's what was at fault. So, I would bring on both fans at the same time if there was only a call for the first stage or the first of the two furnaces. Live and learn. And that's the way I see it.
