In this edition of "Hey Ed", Ed discusses what Oil Slugging is.
Hey Ed, what is oil slugging? Oil slugging is when we get oil coming back to the compressor, we’re supposed to get oil coming back to the compressor but it’s not supposed to come back in a volume that can cause the cylinder to fill up, and a compressor is not designed to compress oil, you have something going on with the system that is not correct if you have oil coming back in a high enough volume to create slugging and that’s the way I see it.
