Hey Ed, What Does Integrity Mean With a Drain Trap?
In this edition of "Hey Ed", Ed discusses what integrity means with a drain trap.
Hey Ed, I have a system performance question for you, what does integrity mean with a drain trap? When we have systems, air conditioning systems to be precise, and we’re in a market that’s going to produce condensate, which is proably about 2/3 of the country, there can be issues with air getting sucked into or blown out the assembly that gets rid of that condensate water. In negative pressure coils, we have to trap that drain line and when the word integrity is used, it’s specifically telling us the dimension or the height of the section of trap that's actually traping the water and that's the way I see it!
