Hey Ed, Why Does OEM Performance Data Matter?

In this edition of "Hey Ed", Ed discusses why OEM performance data matters in Manual S.

Hey Ed, why does OEM performance data matter? OEM performance data matters greatly because it is a very common thing for contractors to look at a piece of equipment that might have an 024 or an 036 and its model number and automatically assume that that piece of equipment will produce or remove 2 or 3 tons of capacity. That’s simply not true, it depends on what part of the country you are in, we could be in the Pacific Northwest and that 024 piece of equipment in those conditions can produce more than 2 tons of capacity. If we are in the southeast that 2 ton unit might produce significantly less then 2 tons of capcity. Don’t make stuff up, look at the expanded performance data and we can know exactly the capacity of the equipment were working with and that's the way I see it!
