4 Questions For Laura DiFilippo

Laura DiFilippo

Laura DiFilippo of DiFilippo’s Service Company in Paoli, PA, will take the reigns as Chairman of the ACCA Board of Directors in March at the annual ACCA Conference and Indoor Air Expo. To help the membership get a better idea of who their chairman is, we asked her a few questions.

So the membership has a better idea of who you are, what is something that they probably don’t know about you?

I love the beach; it is my most favorite place to be on a beautiful day. But I actually hate the water and am a horrible swimmer. I’ll go in to my ankles to cool off, but that’s it.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given while working in the HVAC industry and who gave it to you?

The best piece of advice I ever got during my 20 years in this industry was from my Dad. He told me to always stay true to myself, never compromise who I am and what I believe in.

Why do you feel that contractors should be members of ACCA?

ACCA is like having another employee who knows everything! From technical manuals to training, to HR forms, networking groups, government relations, and more. And this employee is super smart and knows what I need BEFORE I need it. They are always looking out for my company’s interests and keep me informed on all that I need to know as a HVAC contractor all the time. ACCA is the best resource for contractors of all sizes in all areas of the business, and the price of membership is small compared to all that you’ll receive.

What do you hope to accomplish while you are chairman of ACCA?

ACCA Chairmen today are lucky; our leadership has developed an amazing strategic plan, which guides all our work, and I look forward to continuing to work towards those goals. For me personally – I am excited and humbled by this wonderful opportunity. I want to learn and grow from this experience and try to enjoy every minute.
